Team India cricketer Shreyas Iyer was recently seen showing magic tricks to entertain fans on social media. The middle-order batter is quite active on digital media and is loved by fans for his videos.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper shared a reel on his official Instagram handle on Sunday, September 11. In the video, Shreyas Iyer performed a magic trick and made a bottle cap disappear, taking the social media platform by storm.

The post went viral as soon as hit the social media and garnered over 2.5 lakh views. The Mumbai-born cricketer captioned the video as:

“Disappearing Act 🖤.”

Incidentally, this not the first time that Shreyas Iyer has performed a magic trick. In an earlier video shared on social media, he had stunned speedster Mohammed Siraj during an act.

Shreyas Iyer likely to return to action during ODI series against South Africa

Shreyas Iyer, who was last seen in the T20I series against the West Indies, is likely to return to action when India lock horns with South Africa in a three-match ODI series. The right-handed batter is unlikely to be picked for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Australia later this year.

The ODI series against the Proteas will kick start in Lucknow on October 6. The action will shift to Ranchi and Delhi for the second and third ODIs respectively. The Men in Blue will be looking to avenge their 3-0 loss to South Africa in their last ODI series against them.

Shreyas Iyer has so far featured in 30 ODIs, scoring 1108 runs at an average of over 42, including one hundred and 11 half-centuries.
