During the 2025 men’s match of The Hundred between London Spirit and Oval Invincibles at Lord’s Cricket Ground, a fox unexpectedly ran onto the field, briefly halting play. The sight of the small fox darting around amused commentators Stuart Broad and Eoin Morgan, with Sky Sports Cricket sharing the clip online.
The incident occurred just as London Spirit pacer Daniel Worrall was about to deliver a ball. At that point, the Invincibles still required 72 runs to win. The fox’s sudden appearance and aimless run across the field delighted the spectators, who responded with loud cheers. You can watch the video here:

Oval Invincibles Begin The Hundred 2025 With Dominant Win Over London Spirit
Meanwhile, defending champions Oval Invincibles began their 2025 campaign in The Hundred with a six-wicket win over London Spirit. Despite having experienced players like David Warner, Kane Williamson, and Ashton Turner, the Spirit crumbled to just 80 runs in 94 balls.
Rashid Khan and Sam Curran led the bowling attack with three wickets apiece, while Jordan Clark took two. Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Sowter also chipped in with two wickets each. In the run chase, Will Jacks and Tawanda Muyeye added 34 runs in 32 balls before Jacks fell for 18. Jacks ended as the top scorer with 24 runs.
Both Sam Curran and Jordan Cox were dismissed cheaply, but Sam Billings, the Invincibles’ skipper, remained not out on nine and finished the game alongside Donovan Ferreira. Though Liam Dawson took a couple of wickets for the Spirit with his left-arm spin, it wasn’t enough to stop the Invincibles from cruising to victory.
Earlier, the London Spirit women’s team beat Oval Invincibles women by 17 runs, as Grace Harris’ 89* overshadowed Meg Lanning’s 85.
