Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill was once again seen arguing with the umpire during the IPL 2025 match against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
A video circulating on social media captured Gill walking behind the umpire and engaging in a heated exchange, seemingly upset over a DRS decision that didn’t go in his team’s favor. The incident occurred in the 14th over after a review was taken against opener Abhishek Sharma.
The left-hander missed a flick shot, and the ball struck his right toe. Although the batters ran a leg-bye, the Titans opted for a review, only to lose it as the ball-tracking returned an ‘umpire’s call’. You can watch the video here:

Shubman Gill shines with the bat as Gujarat Titans bounce back to victory
In Friday’s encounter, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Gujarat Titans’ (GT) skipper Shubman Gill led from the front with a blazing 76 off 38 balls, sharing a rapid 87-run opening stand with B Sai Sudharsan in just 6.5 overs.
Their partnership set the platform for a formidable total of 224/6. Jos Buttler also extended his excellent form, contributing a fluent 64 off 37 deliveries. In response, SunRisers lost Travis Head early for 20 off 16 balls in the fifth over.
While Abhishek Sharma kept their hopes alive with a solid half-century, scoring 74 from 41 balls, he lacked adequate support from the rest of the lineup. He was dismissed in the 15th over, and despite some late fireworks from Nitish Kumar Reddy and Pat Cummins, the visitors could only manage 186/6 in their 20 overs.
Although the SunRisers fell short by 38 runs, the Titans bounced back strongly from their previous defeat to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and climbed to second place on the points table.
