Kiwi batsman Glenn Phillips is playing for Gloucestershire in the ongoing T20 Vitality Blast. He has been in brilliant form for his team with the bat and in the recent game against Middlesex in Cheltenham,he showed his agility in the field as well. Fielding at deep point he took an acrobatic diving catch to dismiss opener Stephen Eskinaz.
The official handle of Vitality T20 Blast shared the footage of the dismissal on their official Twitter handle. Phillips put in a diving effort to dismiss Eskinazi who scooped the ball to deep point. This was when Phillips put in a full-length dive and plucked the ball out of thin air to dismiss the batsman.

Glenn Phillips has so far scored 423 runs in 10 matches, he averages 60.42 while striking at 162.06. He has featured in 25 T20Is for the Black Caps, and scored 506 runs at 28.11, at a strike rate of 149.70. He has struck one century and two fifties so far.
Gloucestershire ultimately won the game via the Duckworth-Lewis method. Batting first, Middlesex scored 179/ 5, courtesy of Joe Cracknell’s 67 and skipper Eoin Morgan’s 38. A cumulative effort from the opposition bowlers kept Middlesex under 200.
In the chase, Gloucestershire reached 157/5 in 18 overs before the game was interrupted due to rain. They finally won the game via the DL method on being ahead of the required run rate.
Gloucestershire are third in the points table from the south group. Kent is leading the points table with Sussex at number two. Glen Phillips will be important for New Zealand in the coming T20 World Cup. His current form certainly is good news for the Kiwis who would hope that he carries on with his as long as possible.
