Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya let his frustration show after being dismissed in a crucial moment during the third T20I against England at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. Frustrated with his dismissal, he yelled and tossed his bat as India’s chances of victory faded with his wicket.
The incident took place in the 19th over when India needed 41 runs off the last 12 balls. Facing Jamie Overton’s clever change of pace, Pandya mistimed his shot, slicing it to long-off, where England skipper Jos Buttler took an easy catch. Pandya’s 35-ball 40 featured just two sixes and a four.

Interestingly, the 31-year-old had refused Dhruv Jurel a single on the final ball of the previous over to retain strike for the next. However, the decision backfired as England went on to win by 26 runs, keeping the series alive.
Chasing 172 on a favorable batting track, India found themselves at 68-4 after eight overs. However, England’s bowlers effectively controlled the run rate and took regular wickets in the latter half of the innings.
Hardik Pandya’s Double Strike Triggers England’s Batting Collapse
The Baroda-born all-rounder dismissed Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone, finishing with figures of 4-0-33-2. Although Ben Duckett laid a strong foundation for England with his half-century, their middle-order collapse prevented them from capitalizing fully.
Livingstone injected momentum into England’s innings with a quickfire 43 off 24 balls, smashing five sixes to push the total to 171. For India, Varun Chakravarthy was the standout bowler, delivering an impressive spell of 4-0-24-5.
However, England’s bowlers outshone their batting lineup, delivering a dominant performance. Overton led the attack with 3 for 24 in four overs, while Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse picked up two wickets each. Mark Wood and Adil Rashid chipped in with one wicket apiece. India and England will face off in the fourth T20I in Pune on January 31.
