Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya displayed a touching gesture towards a cameraman during the fifth T20I against South Africa. India went on to win the match by 30 runs, clinching the five-match series 3-1 on Friday, December 19. The incident occurred in the 13th over of India’s innings when Pandya launched a flat six over long-off, with the powerful strike unfortunately striking the cameraman on the shoulder.
The Indian team’s physio promptly attended to the cameraman and was seen applying ice to the affected area. Once the innings concluded, Hardik crossed the boundary to personally check on him. He examined the injury, helped ice the shoulder, and shared a warm hug, patting him on the back before once again tending to the bruise and returning to the field.
Pandya’s considerate act was warmly received by the cameraman, who responded with a broad smile and a thumbs-up, acknowledging the all-rounder’s kindness. You can watch the video here:

Hardik Pandya produced a stunning batting display, smashing 63 off just 25 balls with five fours and five sixes as India piled up 231/5. The hosts then held South Africa to 201/8 to seal the win. Though costly with the ball, Pandya claimed the crucial wicket of Dewald Brevis, finishing with figures of 1/41, and was named Player of the Match.
Hardik Pandya Blazes To Second-Fastest T20I Fifty By An Indian
Hardik Pandya showed his aggressive intent from the very first ball, getting off the mark with a six and maintaining the momentum throughout his knock. He launched a relentless assault on the South African bowlers and raced to his half-century in just 16 deliveries, making it the second-fastest fifty by an Indian batter in T20I history.
Only Yuvraj Singh’s iconic 12-ball fifty against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup remains ahead of him. Pandya’s effort saw him surpass Abhishek Sharma, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav, with Abhishek’s 17-ball fifty coming against England in 2025, while Rahul and Suryakumar had earlier reached the milestone in 18 balls against Scotland and South Africa respectively.
