Indian pacer Harshit Rana shared a lighthearted moment with young spectators during the second ODI against England in Cuttack on Sunday, February 9. He was spotted handing out apples to fans near India’s dugout.

As England set a target of 305, India came out to bat, and a few children from the crowd requested Rana to give them apples from a nearby table. The pacer happily obliged, tossing apples to the kids, who caught them with excitement and joy, as seen in the X/Twitter video here:

In the second ODI, England set a target of 304 runs after batting first. India successfully chased it down in 44.3 overs with four wickets in hand, thanks to a brilliant 119 off 90 balls by skipper Rohit Sharma, along with key contributions from Shreyas Iyer (44) and Axar Patel (41*).

Meanwhile, pacer Harshit Rana has been among the wickets in his maiden ODI series for Team India. He made his debut in the first match of the series in Nagpur, where despite being expensive, he left an impact by claiming three wickets. In his first ODI outing, the 23-year-old registered figures of 3/53 in seven overs.

He also featured in the second ODI in Cuttack, where he was slightly expensive again, conceding 62 runs in nine overs at an economy rate of 6.9. However, he managed to dismiss Harry Brook, who was looking dangerous after a solid start.

Across both matches, Harshit has taken four wickets at an average of 28.75 and an economy rate of 7.18. With Jasprit Bumrah’s availability for the 2025 Champions Trophy uncertain, Harshit Rana could emerge as a key third-pacer option for India in the marquee ICC event.

He is also expected to feature in the third and final ODI of the series, set to take place on February 13 in Ahmedabad.
