[WATCH]- India Get Review Spot On As Arshdeep Singh Dismisses Reeza Hendricks For 0

India’s new-ball pacer Arshdeep Singh made an immediate impact in the opening over of the third T20I against South Africa in Dharamsala on Sunday, December 14. The left-arm quick, supported by wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, urged skipper Suryakumar Yadav to opt for a review, a decision that ultimately worked in India’s favour.

On the fourth delivery of the over, Arshdeep set up Reeza Hendricks with a couple of outswingers before slipping in a sharp inswinger that struck him just below the knee roll. Although the on-field umpire initially turned down the appeal, the home side challenged the call and the review confirmed the dismissal. You can watch the video here:

Hendricks, 36, continued his poor run with a second straight single-digit score. Soon after, Harshit Rana removed Quinton de Kock (1) and Dewald Brevis (2), reducing the visitors to a precarious 7/3.

Arshdeep Singh Struggles For Rhythm In Second T20I vs South Africa

Arshdeep Singh found it hard to settle into a rhythm during the second T20I against South Africa in Mullanpur. The 26-year-old endured a tough spell, including an over that contained seven wides, and finished by conceding 54 runs from his allotted overs. Powered by Quinton de Kock’s blistering knock of 90, the visitors posted a commanding total of 213/4 in their 20 overs.

South Africa then backed it up with an impressive bowling effort, dismissing the Men in Blue for 162 to secure a 51-run victory and draw the series level. In the Dharamsala clash, India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to field first, keeping the dew in mind. The hosts made two changes to their XI, bringing in Kuldeep Yadav and Harshit Rana in place of Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah.

The Proteas also rang in three changes, with Corbin Bosch, Anrich Nortje and Tristan Stubbs replacing David Miller, Lutho Sipamla and George Linde. The five-match T20I series now stands evenly poised at 1-1.
