Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh posted a video showcasing his preparations for the Asia Cup 2025, set to be held in the UAE. In the clip uploaded on his YouTube channel, he was seen working on his batting, taking on a self-imposed challenge of scoring 15 runs from six balls.

Facing a left-arm spinner, Arshdeep managed to seal the chase with a six, finishing the task with one delivery remaining. The 25-year-old has earned a spot in India’s squad for the tournament, joining Jasprit Bumrah and Harshit Rana as part of the pace attack for the event beginning September 7.

“Here’s a sneak peek into my training routine . Some days I’m chasing targets with the bat, other days I’m working on variations with the ball. Every session is a new chance to learn and get better,” the description in the video read.

In the video, the pacer revealed that his father had advised him against stepping out to play his shots. Instead, his father encouraged him to stay at the crease and trust his strength, reminding him that he had enough power to clear the boundary with ease.

Arshdeep Singh Returns To Bowling Focus After Batting Practice In Nets

After completing his batting practice in the nets, Arshdeep Singh switched focus to his main strength of bowling. The pacer was seen running in rhythmically, aiming at a lone stump kept at the crease. Later in the clip, as the camera turned towards the stump, a few shoes were spotted placed around it.

Arshdeep could be seen working on his bowling accuracy by trying to hit them, a drill earlier made famous worldwide by Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga.
