Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spinner Digvesh Rathi once again did his famous “notebook celebration” after getting SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Abhishek Sharma out during their IPL 2025 match on Monday (May 19) at the Ekana International Stadium. Rathi’s celebration after the wicket upset Abhishek, and both players got into a heated argument.
The incident happened in the eighth over when Rathi came on to bowl his second over after giving away just six runs in his first. Abhishek, who was batting aggressively, tried to hit a big shot over extra cover. But he mistimed it, and Shardul Thakur took a good catch while running in.
After taking the wicket, Rathi pointed toward the pavilion and did the notebook celebration — a move he had been fined for earlier. While Abhishek Sharma was walking off, he turned back and exchanged angry words with Rathi, making the situation tense on the field.

Digvish Rathi has already faced fines twice this season for doing the notebook celebration — once after dismissing Naman Dhir of Mumbai Indians and again after taking the wicket of Priyansh Arya from Punjab Kings.
Abhishek Sharma’s Dismissal Halts Strong 82-Run Partnership with Ishan Kishan
The 24-year-old batter had a fiery partnership with Ishan Kishan, adding 82 runs off just 35 balls before getting out for a quick 59 off 20 deliveries, which included four boundaries and six huge sixes. He was especially aggressive against Ravi Bishnoi, hitting him for four back-to-back sixes in a single over.
Earlier, the SunRisers lost their first wicket when Atharva Taide was dismissed for 13 off nine balls after hitting three fours. At the start of the match, SunRisers won the toss and captain Pat Cummins chose to bowl first.
The Super Giants got off to a strong start, thanks to a 113-run opening partnership between Mitchell Marsh (65) and Aiden Markram (61). Rishabh Pant struggled again, while only Nicholas Pooran (45 off 26) made an impact as the hosts posted 205/7.
