Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was spotted bowling in the nets, playfully mimicking former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav’s unique action during SunRisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) practice session ahead of IPL 2025.
The 18th edition of the tournament will begin on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the opening match. This will be Ishan’s debut season with SRH, who acquired him for ₹11.25 crore in the 2025 mega auction.
The 26-year-old was a key part of Mumbai Indians for seven years, contributing significantly to their success. As SRH players hit the nets ahead of the season, Ishan was seen showcasing his bowling skills while imitating Jadhav’s unique action. You can watch the video here:

The 26-year-old has featured in 105 IPL matches, amassing 2,644 runs at an average of 28.43. He has recorded 16 half-centuries, with a personal best score of 99.
Ishan Kishan has played 61 matches for India across all three formats
Ishan Kishan made his international debut in a T20I against England in 2021, where he was named Player of the Match for his impressive 56 off 32 balls, which included five fours and four sixes. Since then, the left-hander has played 32 T20Is, scoring 796 runs with six half-centuries.
Beyond T20Is, the wicketkeeper-batter has also featured in 27 ODIs, accumulating 933 runs at an average of 42.40. His ODI record includes seven fifties and a century, with his highest score being a remarkable 210 off 131 balls against Bangladesh in 2022 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
In the longest format, Kishan has featured in two Test matches, scoring 78 runs at an average of 78. His highest Test score is an unbeaten 52, which he achieved against the West Indies in July 2023.
The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to commence on March 22, 2025. SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play their first match on March 23, 2025, against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
