Team India’s spearhead Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Pakistan’s tailender Sufiyan Muqeem for 10 during the Asia Cup 2025 clash at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. Muqeem overreached and left his stumps exposed, allowing the right-arm pacer to hit the stumps for his second wicket of the innings.
The wicket came in the 19th over when Suryakumar Yadav brought Bumrah on for his fourth and final over. Despite starting with a front-foot no-ball and giving away a couple of boundaries, Bumrah ended the over on a high, trapping Muqeem with a low full toss that the batter failed to connect with on the paddle sweep.

The Ahmedabad-born pacer claimed his first wicket of the innings by dismissing Mohammad Haris, who was caught at deep square leg in the second over after scoring just three quick runs off tidy bowling.
Bumrah Leads India’s Pacers As Team Restricts Pakistan To 127
Jasprit Bumrah delivered figures of 4-0-28-2 as India, despite losing the toss, bowled brilliantly to restrict Pakistan to 127 in Dubai. The Indian spin trio—Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel—controlled the middle overs, stifling the opposition’s scoring. Kuldeep, who had previously decimated the UAE with four wickets, was India’s standout bowler again, finishing with 4-0-18-3.
Axar Patel claimed two crucial wickets, removing Fakhar Zaman (17) and Salman Ali Agha (3), while Chakravarthy contributed with one scalp. For Pakistan, Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 40 but struggled to accelerate, facing 44 deliveries. Some late hitting from Shaheen Shah Afridi provided a small boost to their total.
At the time of writing, India were 93/2 after 11 overs, with Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma confidently at the crease. Saim Ayub had taken the important wickets of Abhishek Sharma (31) and Shubman Gill (10).
