India’s premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah appeared in excellent rhythm during a practice session on Tuesday, February 10, repeatedly striking the stumps while bowling on an empty pitch. The session took place ahead of India’s second T20 World Cup 2026 encounter against Namibia, set to be played on Thursday, February 12, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Bumrah had missed India’s opening match of the tournament against the United States of America (USA) on February 7 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai due to illness. In his absence, Suryakumar Yadav-led India made a strong start to their campaign, registering a 29-run win.

As the Delhi clash nears, Bumrah returned to training and looked sharp, frequently uprooting the stumps during his spell.

Meanwhile, Namibia began their campaign with a seven-wicket loss to the Netherlands and will be keen to bounce back with an improved showing against India. The two teams have met just once in T20 World Cup history, during the 2021 edition in Dubai.

In that encounter, India cruised to a dominant nine-wicket win while chasing a target of 133, thanks to solid half-centuries from Rohit Sharma (56) and KL Rahul (54*). Jasprit Bumrah also made an impact with the ball, claiming two wickets.
