Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Jofra Archer was spotted filing his nails during his team’s IPL 2025 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on Wednesday, April 24. The amusing moment occurred during the 18th over of RCB’s innings.

While defending in the deep, Archer took advantage of the break between balls to file his nails. At that point, he had one over remaining in his spell. Archer bowled the final over of the innings, conceding eight runs and finishing with figures of 4-0-33-1.

It’s notable that this wasn’t the first time Archer had attracted attention for such activities. Earlier this month, during RR’s match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), the 30-year-old was spotted resting with a blanket in the dressing room.

Asked to bat first, RCB opener Virat Kohli played a brilliant knock, scoring 70 runs off 42 balls. He put his team in a strong position, building vital partnerships with Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal. Kohli’s innings was cut short in the 16th over when Jofra Archer dismissed him. Kohli was caught by Nitish Rana after a well-disguised delivery from Archer.

RCB finished with 205/5 in their 20 overs. Padikkal also contributed significantly, scoring 50 runs from 27 balls. In a nail-biting finish, Bengaluru won by 11 runs, claiming their first home victory of the season. With RR needing 18 runs from the last two overs and five wickets in hand, they were the favorites to win.

However, Josh Hazlewood delivered a match-changing 19th over, conceding only a single run and taking two crucial wickets—Dhruv Jurel and Jofra Archer. Hazlewood finished with remarkable figures of 4-0-33-4 and was named Player of the Match for his exceptional performance.
