Shreyas Iyer-led KKR on the verge of bowing out of IPL 2022

Shreyas Iyer has been the lightning and shining armour of Kolkata and has been clinical for the franchise since the start. He is Kolkata’s top scorer this season with 330 runs at an average of 33 in 11 innings.

However, he didn’t receive much support from his support as Kolkata have endured a poor season so far in IPL 2022. They had won three out of their first four games but have won only one game since then in their next seven matches.

They’ll be facing the first team to be already eliminated Mumbai Indians in their next fixture later tonight at the DY Patil Sports Academy. It’s a do-or-die match for the Kolkata franchise because if they lose they will become the second team to be eliminated from this year’s IPL.

Shreyas would hope to continue his good season with the bat with more runs and more points for his side on the board. His captaincy has been good so far and he has been making some great changes to get home the victory.
