[WATCH]- KL Rahul And Ben Stokes Face Off In Light-Hearted Challenge Before ENG vs IND 1st Test

KL Rahul and Ben Stokes participated in a light-hearted, target-hitting challenge organised by Red Bull ahead of the India-England Test series. As ambassadors of the brand, both cricketers engaged in a series of drills that tested their accuracy and precision.

A video shared on X showed the two enjoying the tasks, exchanging playful banter, and displaying mutual respect despite being on opposing sides when the series kicks off on June 20. The challenge highlighted their competitive spirit as well as the friendly rapport they share off the field.

The video seemed to have been filmed in India rather than in England, where both teams are currently stationed. Autorickshaws, equipped with targets, were featured in the challenge as KL Rahul and Ben Stokes aimed to hit them and score points. The video concluded with firecrackers going off in celebration of their successful attempts during the drill.

India and England Gear Up for 1st Test on June 20

India will face England in the opening match of a five-Test series starting June 20 at Headingley in Leeds. The remaining Tests are scheduled to be held at Edgbaston (Birmingham), Lord’s, Old Trafford (Manchester), and The Oval (London).

As part of their preparations, the Indian team played a three-day practice match against India A in Beckenham from June 13 to 15 in overcast English conditions. In the warm-up fixture, Sarfaraz Khan notched a century for India A, while Shardul Thakur did the same for the senior side.

Captain Shubman Gill and experienced batter Karun Nair also made valuable contributions with half-centuries. With the team entering a new era following the retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, India look well-equipped to take on the English challenge.
