Punjab Kings (PBKS) opener Shikhar Dhawan shared a hilarious video on social media after they were knocked out of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. The Punjab franchise had a start-stop campaign in the tournament and finished sixth in the points table.

In the video, Dhawan was seen beaten by his father in the video while family members try to stop him. However, it was set up by the cricketer itself to entertain the fans. Shikhar Dhawan does this on a routine basis, trying to make funny reels for his fans and sometimes includes his family as well in the videos.

In this video, Dhawan’s father is mock beating his son. He captioned the post, “Knock out by my dad for not qualifying for knock outs.”

Meanwhile, the video went viral on social media and has been shared multiple times across various social media platforms. Many teammates of Shikhar Dhawan commented on the video, including former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh.

The 2011 World Cup winner jokingly said that Dhawan’s father turned out to be a better actor than the cricketer. Harbhajan commented, “Bappu tere se bi upar ka actor nikle.. kya baat hai 😂😂😂😂😂😂.

Meanwhile, speaking of Shikhar Dhawan had a good campaign despite Punjab Kings’ struggles. The veteran Delhi opener scored 460 runs in 14 matches. The southpaw notched up more than 450 runs in a season for the seventh year in a row in the IPL.

Shikha Dhawan excluded from India’s T20 squad vs South Africa

The All-India Senior Selection Committee announced a 18-member squad for the upcoming five T20Is against South Africa. While Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik made a comeback to the team, senior batter Shikhar Dhawan was unlucky to not make the cut.

Incidentally, with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma not available for the T20Is, many backed Dhawan to make it to the squad. However, the selectors didn’t consider the southpaw’s name which shows that they are looking ahead of the opener.
