The Super 12 stage of the 2022 T20 World Cup got underway on Saturday, October 22. Afghanistan is taking on England in the day’s second match at the Perth Stadium. England cricketer Liam Livingstone took a blinder during the game to dismiss Hazratullah Zazai. His catch left the experts, and the fans amazed.
England skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to bowl first. They got an early breakthrough as Mark Wood dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the third over of the innings. Soon, Gurbaz’s opening partner, Hazratullah Zazai also walked back to the pavilion. In the seventh over, Ben Stokes bowled a short delivery away from the left-handed batter.
Zazai looked to slice the ball behind square, but Liam Livingstone at deep cover, ran in to take a stunning catch, just inches above the ground. He put in a full-length dive to complete the catch. Zazai was dismissed for just seven runs of seventeen deliveries, with Afghanistan reeling on 35/2.
