Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul showed exceptional fielding skills by making a spectacular diving catch on his second try, dismissing Delhi Capitals (DC) batter Shai Hope in the IPL encounter.

After winning the toss, KL Rahul chose LSG to bowl first. DC equalled the record set in the previous edition by surpassing the 200-run mark 37 times in IPL 2024, with 208/4 from their 20 overs against LSG.

Watch- KL Rahul’s sensational catch to dismiss Shai Hope

KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), gave his squad tremendous support on the field during their current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 matchup against the Delhi Capitals (DC). The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is the venue for the two teams’ game.

The incident occurred in the ninth over of the innings when LSG leggie Ravi Bishnoi pitched a flatter delivery that was outside off. Hope released his arms and slapped it hard straight to cover Rahul’s position, but the ball came around chest height, and he had to take it awkwardly.

Rahul promptly moved, diving to his right, and grabbed the ball with both hands before it hit the ground. What many saw, though, was Sanjiv Goenka’s reaction as he praised the captain’s efforts.

The Lucknow Super Giants are ranked seventh in the standings. Six games have been won, and six have been lost. They would guarantee their playoff berth with a victory in the next two games.
