Hardik Pandya

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, shared a heartwarming moment with senior batter Rohit Sharma’s son ahead of India’s upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. The Men in Blue are set to host the Kiwis for a three-match ODI series starting Sunday, January 11.

On Sunday, January 4, Hardik Pandya and Mahieka Sharma were spotted at Jamnagar Airport alongside Rohit Sharma. Rohit’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, was also seen accompanying Mahieka as they exited the airport. During the interaction, Mahieka was noticed playing affectionately with Rohit and Ritika’s son, Ahaan, who was in Ritika’s arms.

Mahieka was visibly cheerful as the sweet moment was captured on camera. She has been seen frequently with Hardik in recent months, following the all-rounder making their relationship public in October 2025.

The opening two ODIs are scheduled to be held in Vadodara on January 11 and Rajkot on January 14, respectively. The final ODI will take place in Indore on January 18. Following the ODIs, the two sides will face off in a five-match T20I series. The New Zealand tour will signal the start of India’s international cricket calendar in 2026.

Rohit Sharma Set To Play In New Zealand ODIs, Hardik Pandya Likely Rested

Rohit Sharma will feature in India’s upcoming ODIs against New Zealand, as expected. The experienced batter has been in excellent form, scoring 73, 121*, 57, 14, and 75 in his last five ODI innings. He also continued his strong run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26, smashing a 94-ball 155 for Mumbai against Sikkim.

In contrast, Hardik Pandya has been rested from the ODI squad after returning from injury. The BCCI confirmed that he is not yet fit to bowl a full quota of 10 overs. However, he is expected to play in all five T20Is. With the T20 World Cup 2026 scheduled for February, India are managing Hardik’s workload to ensure he remains fully fit for the tournament.

Hardik’s recent performances have been impressive: in the South Africa T20Is, he scored 142 runs in three innings at an average of 71.00 with a strike rate of 186.84, including two half-centuries. He also produced a dominant 92-ball 133 for Baroda against Vidarbha in the VHT 2025-26, hitting eight boundaries and 11 sixes.
