The fourth Ashes Test between Australia and England has been going on where the host managed to post 126 runs on Day 1 before stumps after electing to bat first. However, their key batsman Marnus Labuschagne stole the show with his noise while facing the opponents.

However, it happened when he was facing Mark Wood. Although he leave the ball, he had made a noise that can be heard in the stump mic.

Australia-England share honours on a rain-filled day

As far as the game is concerned, England managed to remove three Australian batsmen on the opening day of the Sydney Ashes Test after reducing Australia to 126 for 3. On a rain-hit day where only 46.5 overs could take place.

Till the Tea break, Australia had reached 56 for 1 in 21.4 overs as well. Meanwhile, both James Anderson and Stuart Broad had started well before the break but after the game resumed, David Warner started to open his hands with two boundaries against Anderson to get the scoreboard moving.

Soon, Joe Root brought both Ben Stokes and Mark Wood and post-lunch, Broad provided the first breakthrough with the dismissal of Warner who was caught at second slip for 30. However, in the final session, Marcus Harris (38) and Marnus Labuschagne (28) added a half-century stand to take the team past 100. But it was Anderson who broke the stand by removing Harris.

And, the massive break came when Mark Wood dismissed Marnus Labuschagne. He got out in a similar way he did in Melbourne in the earlier Test – and ended up getting an edge. Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja then made 9 off 40 before the rain made sure no further play took place on the day.
