[WATCH]- Mitchell Starc Removes Rishabh Pant With A Stunning Delivery

The Men in Blue started Day 3 disastrously as Mitchell Starc struck early, dismissing Rishabh Pant with a brilliant delivery. Following his wicket, India is edging closer to defeat in the second Test in Adelaide. The incident occurred in the 25th over of India’s third innings while Pant was trying to help India recover alongside Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Starc eventually broke the partnership, removing Pant with a beauty of a delivery. Starc delivered a full-length ball from around the wicket, hitting Pant’s off-stump. Pant attempted a forceful drive, but the ball grazed the outside edge, allowing Steve Smith to take a straightforward catch in the slips.

Rishabh Pant failed to convert his start for the third time in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The star wicketkeeper-batter, who had an outstanding performance during India’s last tour of Australia, has struggled with the bat this time around.

Ashwin out for 7 after falling to a Pat Cummins bouncer in the 2nd BGT 2024-25 Test

Ravichandran Ashwin’s time at the crease ended when he failed to handle a bouncer from Pat Cummins in the second Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 Test at Adelaide Oval. With his dismissal, India were reduced to 148/7, still trailing by 10 runs.

India started the day at 128/5 with Nitish Reddy and Rishabh Pant at the crease, trailing by 29 runs. Pant (28) was dismissed in the first over by Mitchell Starc, bringing Ashwin in. The veteran off-spinner showed some resilience during his 14-ball stay but was ultimately caught out by a Cummins bouncer.

Cummins tested Ashwin with several bouncers, and the latter edged one to wicketkeeper Alex Carey while attempting a hook shot down the leg side. Ashwin only managed to glove it, and Carey took an easy catch.
