The whole world has come together to fight the pandemic coronavirus which has taken lives of more than 19000 people across the globe. The citizens are asked to quarantine themselves in a bid to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

There have been over 420000 positive cases recorded across the globe with China, Italy, Spain, and the United States the most affected. Talking about India, there are 562 cases so far with a death toll of 9. The situation is getting out of control with each passing forcing the Government of India to enforce lockdown in the country until April 15.

Many renowned personalities have used their social media platforms to raise awareness on how to combat the disease. Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif also joined the bandwagon to aware the citizens of the country as India enters a crucial period.

Kaif tweeted a video to urge people to practice social distancing by staying indoors in order to stop the deadly coronavirus. Kaif also welcomed the 21-day nationwide lockdown declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.

“Fully support the government’s decision to impose the #CoronavirusLockdown. Stop the virus from scoring big. Be your own captain! Spread the field. Practice Social Distancing and remember our PM’s advice,” Mohammad Kaif tweeted. 

Meanwhile, Mohammad Kaif is among the many Indian sports figures who has regularly posted videos and messages spreading awareness about the virus. Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, PV Sindhu, Virender Sehwag Sourav Ganguly, Saina Nehwal, etc have all been taking to social media to tell their millions of fans and followers on how to avoid contracting the disease.
