Mohammad Shami and Nicholas Pooran are a vital cog in the arsenal of Kings XI Punjab. The Punjab franchise banks heavily on the two players to win them matches in the T20 league. With no Cricket talking place in India right now the IPL franchises have kept all the fans entertained through their social media pages.
Almost every day we see throwback videos and posts that keep the fans glued during these during times. Recently a video of Mohammed Shami giving Hindi lessons to his KXIP teammate Nicholas Pooran went viral. It’s always fun seeing a foreign player attempt saying something in Hindi which is always amusing.
Shami gives Hindi lessons to Pooran
Mohammed Shami in the video can be heard saying, “Aap kahan jaa rahe ho” which the West Indian Nicholas Pooran tries to repeat and eventually gets it right in the end. Kings XI Punjab’s official Twitter handle in the caption of the tweet wrote, “Hindi lessons ft. Nicky Praa!”.

The destructive left-handed batsman Pooran was bought by KXIP in the 2018 IPL auction for a hefty price of 4.02 crores. Last season Pooran featured in 7 IPL matches in which he scored 168 runs at a staggering strike rate of 157. Pooran has was picked by the franchise as he has been sensational for West Indies in international cricket for the last few years.
Mohammed Shami, on the other hand, is one of India’s premier fast bowler. He was brought by the Punjab franchise for a sum of Rs.4.08 crores in 2018. Last year Shami scalped 19 wickets in the IPL season with an economy rate of 8.68. Both will be looking to perform for the Kings XI Punjab when the IPL 2020 is played.
The Kings XI is one of the few franchises who are yet to lift the title. They will be desperate to go all the way this time around under the leadership of KL Rahul.
