[WATCH]- Mohammed Siraj Dismisses Brandon King With Brilliant Delivery On Day 1 Of 1st Test vs WI

India pacer Mohammed Siraj produced a brilliant delivery to dismiss Brandon King on Day 1 (Thursday, October 2) of the first Test in the two-match series against West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The breakthrough came on the last ball of the 10th over of the visitors’ innings.

Siraj bowled a full-length delivery outside off stump, which King left, but it angled back sharply to rattle the middle stump. Siraj marked the wicket with his signature ‘Siuuu’ celebration. You can watch the video here:

The right-hander made 13 runs from 15 balls, hitting three fours. His wicket left West Indies in trouble at 39 for 3 after 10 overs.

Siraj And Bumrah Strike Early To Shake Up West Indies

After choosing to bat first, West Indies got off to a shaky start as India struck early. Mohammed Siraj removed Tagenarine Chanderpaul for a duck off 11 balls in the fourth over. Jasprit Bumrah followed up by dismissing John Campbell for eight from 19 deliveries in the seventh over. Brandon King came in at No. 4 and looked to steady the innings, but Siraj sent him back for 13 off 15 balls.

The pacer then struck again in the 12th over, dismissing Alick Athanaze for 12 to claim his third wicket, leaving West Indies struggling. At the time of writing, the visitors were 42 for 4 after 12 overs, with Shai Hope and Roston Chase yet to open their accounts.
