Meanwhile, speaking about cricket, MS Dhoni has been on a sabbatical since India”s ouster from the ICC World Cup 2019, losing to New Zealand in the semifinal. Dhoni endured a poor year in 2019, failing to turn up for his team”s cause with the bat. His confidence has also hit rock bottom, which took a toll on his wicket-keeping.

He was expected to return to action at the start of the home season, but the cricketer has continued to remain away from the game. As a result, he missed the home series against South Africa, Bangladesh and West Indies, and now will play against Sri Lanka and South Africa as the selectors have not named MS Dhoni in the squad. The upcoming IPL 2020 will likely be the only platform for the cricketer to return to the national side ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.
