Former India skipper MS Dhoni was seen calmly signing autographs for the Tripura women’s team at the JSCA International Stadium Complex. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the 44-year-old appeared surrounded by the players, yet he remained cheerful and composed while interacting with them.

The Ranchi-born star is gearing up for another season of the Indian Premier League and has already started his preparations. Dhoni led the Chennai Super Kings in a few matches last season, but the five-time champions endured a disappointing campaign, ending at the bottom of the points table.

The iconic wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni holds several remarkable records in Indian Premier League history, including the joint-most titles won as captain alongside Rohit Sharma. He is also the most-capped player in the tournament, having appeared in 278 matches. Additionally, he has led a side in a record 235 games, securing 169 victories as captain.

“He’s The One Who Will Guide The Youngsters” – Kasi Viswanathan On MS Dhoni

In a recent interaction, Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed that the veteran cricketer will feature in IPL 2026, emphasizing that his presence is crucial for mentoring the younger players. As quoted by Times Now, he said:

“He will be there, and he is the guy who is going to help the youngsters. You would have seen it after an IPL game – players, whether CSK or opponents, are always with him for at least an hour after the match, talking about cricket and his advice. That matters a lot, and it will be beneficial for these youngsters.”

The 19th season of the league is scheduled to start on March 26. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the defending champions after winning their first title by defeating Punjab Kings in last year’s final in Ahmedabad.
