Watch – MS Dhoni Dons The Wicket-Keeping Gloves In Chennai Super Kings Training

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni received a grand welcome on his return to the MA Chidambaram Stadium for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Out of action for almost eight months, Dhoni resumed training on March 2. After getting into the rhythm with the bat, the legendary cricketer finally donned the wicket-keeping gloves.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni along with Suresh Raina, Piyush Chawla, Kedar Jadhav, and Murali Vijay have started training for the upcoming season. However, the full-fledged practice sessions will commence from March 19, ten days ahead of the tournament. Super Kings will begin their campaign against the defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in the first match of the season.

The veteran cricketer looked into the groove right from the start knocking off easy sixes in the warm-up sessions. He also timed the ball brilliantly as MS Dhoni will hope to have a good IPL to return to the Indian side for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later this year. However, the fans were keen to see the legendary wicket-keeper to don the gloves.

Finally, after a few days of training at the Chepauk, Dhoni showed some glimpses of his lightning-fast hands. It is the first time since the ICC World Cup 2019 ouster losing to New Zealand in the semifinals, MS Dhoni was seen taking guard behind the wickets. Meanwhile, the sight was enough for the thousands of Super Kings to go berserk and cheer for their favourite star.
