When a team performs well, it’s not just a team; there’s a community working hard for the same team, off the field. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) often well-known for their wholehearted gestures towards every member of the team proved the testimony right, again.
MS Dhoni especially, the most senior member and skipper of the four-time champions, has always been recognized for his humble nature. Dhoni retired from international cricket about two years ago. But the 40-year Old’s fame doesn’t seem to be downed at all.
This time, it was CSK’s ‘bat doctor’ Sarvanan Anna’s birthday, and the CSK team camp didn’t fail to make it all special for him. Dhoni again became the talk of the town as his warm gesture towards Sarvanan Anna won the hearts of many. Dhoni-led CSK celebrated his birthday altogether.
CSK team and support staff members celebrated their Sarvanan Anna’s birthday, with a cake-cutting rite. CSK shared the heartening video of the celebration, via their official social media handles. In the video, everyone seemed to be cheering for the ‘bat doctor’ and Dhoni particularly appeared to be leading from the front.

Chennai Super Kings to face Delhi Capitals on Sunday
Meanwhile, it’s been a rough ride for the CSK, so far in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Ravindra Jadeja who was announced as a skipper ahead of the season recently handed over the position back to Dhoni. Jadeja, the left-arm spin all-rounder, chose to focus on his game. With Jadeja as a skipper, Chennai lost six out of their eight encounters.
Dhoni has taken over the charge since their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), which they won by 13 runs. The last game CSK played was against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and they lost it by 13 runs.
CSK, ninth in the points table and virtually out from the playoffs race, will face Rishabh Pant led Delhi Capitals (DC), on Sunday, May 8, at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai.
