Legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni joined the Chennai Super Kings camp for the upcoming 2024 Indian Premier League season. He hit the nets during their training session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai ahead of their season opener against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Chennai Super Kings will be heading into the upcoming tournament as the defending champions. They defeated the Gujarat Titans in the finals last season at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, under Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s leadership. Ahead of the upcoming season, the Chennai Super Kings players have started to assemble in Chennai.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also joined the franchise for their preparations. He was greeted by the fans with loud cheers as the Chennai Super Kings bus was en route to the ground. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s strategic persona is really good: Moeen Ali

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Moeen Ali was all praise for captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He expressed that with the legendary cricketer as the leader, the team always has a chance to win. He further added that he cannot predict his strategies, even after being with the team for three seasons. Moeen Ali said,

“Everyone knows that Dhoni is a special player and a special captain. He is a very good guy. I have played three seasons but I don’t know what he is going to come up with. His strategic persona is really good. It is exciting as a player – what role he has for you. When you are playing for CSK with Dhoni as the captain, whether the team is weak or strong on paper, you always have a chance of winning.”
