Former Indian captain MS Dhoni recently paid a visit to the renowned Dewri Mandir near Ranchi along with his family. Known for his strong spiritual beliefs, Dhoni offered prayers and participated in rituals at the temple, located around 60 kilometers from Ranchi in the village of Diuri (Tamar).

Dedicated to Goddess Durga, the Dewri Mandir is famous for its distinctive 16-armed idol and is believed to be over 700 years old. The temple stands out for its inclusive tradition of rituals performed jointly by tribal priests and Brahmins.

Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan recently shared a humorous and touching memory of his first interaction with MS Dhoni in 2010. In his book The One: Cricket, My Life and More, Dhawan recalls feeling both nervous and excited after being selected for Team India.

To start the conversation on a friendly note, Dhawan said to Dhoni, “I want to play for India, and I want to make you a Bollywood hero!” Dhoni, known for his calm nature and sense of humour, laughed at the remark.
