Former India captain MS Dhoni, who is also the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), is a well-known and famous personality across the globe. On February 8, he delighted a young fan with a heartwarming gesture during his visit to Deori Mandir in Ranchi.

In a video circulating online, Dhoni is observed walking towards his car outside the temple. A little child reaches out, touching his arm to get his attention. To her delight, Dhoni responds with a smile, lifting his hand in acknowledgement. Since its posting, the video has amassed more than 72,000 views in just two hours.

Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, but remains active in the IPL. Across 350 ODIs, 98 T20Is, and 90 Tests, he amassed over 17,000 runs, including 16 centuries. Recognized as one of India’s finest white-ball captains, he led the team to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy.

In the previous season, Dhoni guided the Super Kings to their fifth IPL title, tying with Mumbai Indians for the most championships in the tournament. He is set to captain CSK once again in the 2024 IPL season.

MS Dhoni initiates training in preparation for the IPL 2024 season

MS Dhoni has commenced his net practice and gym sessions in preparation for the upcoming IPL season. Recently, he was observed using a bat with a ‘Prime Sports’ sticker, a tribute to his childhood friend Paramjit Singh, the owner of the brand that supported him with quality bat sponsorships in his early cricket career.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), MS Dhoni has accumulated a total of more than 5000 runs across 250 matches. His impressive strike rate stands at 135.92, and he has achieved this milestone with the inclusion of 42 half-centuries in his IPL career.
