[WATCH] Nitish Kumar Reddy Forgets Belonging At Hotel Before Birmingham Departure

Young Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy had a brief moment of forgetfulness before departing Leeds for the second Test, as he reportedly left an item behind at the team hotel. The incident occurred after the conclusion of the first Test at Headingley, where England secured a five-wicket win to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

Nitish wasn’t part of the playing XI in the series opener, with the team opting for Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja as the all-rounders. As the Indian squad headed to Birmingham to begin preparations for the second Test at Edgbaston, scheduled to start on Wednesday (July 2), Nitish Kumar was seen stepping off the team bus to retrieve the forgotten item before rejoining his teammates.

Aakash Chopra Raises Concerns Over India’s Pace Attack Without Bumrah

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra recently voiced his concerns over India’s weakened fast-bowling resources in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Speaking on his YouTube channel Aakash Chopra, the 47-year-old highlighted the lack of depth in the current pace attack.

“The next generation of Indian fast bowlers will have to be prepared. It’s a serious issue. There were two important pillars of team’s good performances away from home. One was batters starting to score runs, but it doesn’t work out with that as you need to pick up 20 wickets. So Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj were outstanding with Jasprit Bumrah.”

“I also remember Ishant Sharma, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Lord’s Test. When there are doubts about Bumrah’s availability, who will take the responsibility going forward? because Mohammad Shami, I think that story is not over, but it is close to an ending. Mohammed Siraj is good, but he hasn’t reached the rank of Bumrah or Shami,” Chopra elaborated.
