Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Nitish Rana smashed two huge sixes against SRH; one of them broke the fridge glass, in the Sunrsiers Hyderabad dugout. The Hyderabad franchise defeated Kolkata in their clash on 15th April, by seven wickets.
Securing their third consecutive victory out of five matches, SRH chased the target of 176 with no trouble. After losing early wickets, for KKR, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell were the only saviors, as Rana ended up hitting an elegant fifty, and Russell lit up the Brabourne with his innings of 49 off 25, with four boundaries & four sixes.
Besides this familiar show, something exceptional was witnessed by the audience, during KKR’s batting. It was Rana’s six off Umran Malik’s first delivery, in 12th over, that made some uproar, as it broke the fridge glass in SRH dugout.
The particular length ball clocked a furious speed of 149.6 kmph. Rana, while facing the delivery, made some room by shifting to the leg side early; he played the cut, and the ball went over the third man and damaged the fridge in the dugout.

KKR go down against SRH despite Nitish Rana masterclass
Nitish Rana, who was struggling to catch the momentum since the tournament started, finally scored 54 off 36 deliveries. Talking about the bowling unit of KKR, Andre Russell got two wickets and Pat Cummins settled for one. KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy conceded 45 runs in his spell of three overs.
After all this, KKR failed to defend the decent total, as SRH’s Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram made it comfortable for their team, with 13 balls remaining. This win put SRH in the seventh spot and KKR, on the other hand, is at the fourth spot in the points table, winning three out of their six matches.
