The England Cricket Team ended the 2nd day of the 2nd Test match against hosts New Zealand in a commanding position played at Basin Reserve, Wellington on 25 February 2023.

Starting the 2nd day on 315 for 3, Harry Brooks was dismissed just adding 2 runs on an overnight score. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, England declared their It was dominating at 435 for 8. James Anderson proved too hot for the New Zealand team as he picked up 2 early wickets.

England looked in trouble losing 3 wickets for 21 runs before Harry Brooks and Joe Root dominated the New Zealand bowling making life tough. Both of them toyed with New Zealand bowling to end the first day in a strong position at 315 for 3.

England look to continue to dominate New Zealand

England has been on a roll since then Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes took charge in Test cricket. They showed their domination during the first Test match at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui to win the first Test match by 267 runs.

The second Test saw Tim Southee and Matt Henry getting some seam movement before Harry Brooks and Joe Root dominated the New Zealand bowling.

Ben Stokes and Co would be hoping to display another aggressive performance on the 3rd day by skittling out New Zealand for a low total and then dismissing them in 2nd innings to win the Test match.
