All the franchises are preparing in full flow for the upcoming IPL 2020. The teams have commenced their outdoor practice session in the UAE. Official accounts of all the franchises are trying to bring the action closer to the fans by updating about every practice session. Recently, Delhi Capitals (DC) shared a net session in which Prithvi Shaw was seen batting.
Head coach Ricky Ponting was seen observing the talented Shaw closely during the net session. As soon as Shaw decided to execute big shots, Ponting was very much impressed seeing the form the DC opener was ahead of upcoming IPL. Ponting was standing near to the nets and was strictly watching and praised Shaw after he timed the ball perfectly and dispatched it into the stands with minimum fuss.

Meanwhile, DC began their pre-season camp in Dubai last week ahead of the start of the new season of the Indian IPL in UAE. Also, Prithvi Shaw was one of the main reasons why last year the DC franchise qualified for the IPL playoffs after a long wait of 7 years. In his 25 IPL matches so far Shaw has scored 598 runs at a batting SR of 141 that also includes 4 half-centuries.
Moreover a few days back Ricky Ponting joined his side and is now overseeing every practice session. This year the Delhi Capitals team will be once again led by Shreyas Iyer in the IPL. The likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Anjinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin makes the franchise a formidable side ahead of IPL 2020.
Delhi Capitals will be once again chasing their first-ever IPL trophy this year in the UAE. The 13trh edition is all set to take centre stage from September 19 to November 10 in the beautiful setting of the UAE.
