[WATCH]- Raghuvanshi’s Toss-Time Banter Steals The Show In T20 Mumbai League

Angkrish Raghuvanshi delivered a humorous remark during the toss of the Mumbai T20 League 2025 match between Aakash Tigers MWS and SoBo Mumbai Falcons on Sunday, May 8, at the Wankhede Stadium. Captaining the SoBo Mumbai Falcons, Raghuvanshi amusingly referred to Shreyas Iyer as ‘Sarpanch saab’ while announcing the playing XI.

“Kush Kariya goes out, Amogh Bhatkal comes in and our Sarpanch saab is the impact player today,” he said with a smile on his face.

The nickname ‘Sarpanch saab’ was coined for Shreyas Iyer during the recently concluded IPL 2025 season. Iyer captained the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and guided them to the final, where they were defeated by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), missing out on their first-ever IPL title.

On the other hand, Angkrish Raghuvanshi represented the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who were unable to qualify for the playoffs.

SoBo Mumbai Falcons Beat Aakash Tigers MWS By Five wickets

Angkrish Raghuvanshi won the toss and decided to bowl first in their T20 Mumbai League 2025 clash. Batting first, Aakash Tigers MWS managed to post just 136/9 in their 20 overs. Opening the innings for SoBo Mumbai Falcons, Raghuvanshi and Ishan Mulchandani shared a 99-run stand for the first wicket, giving their side a strong platform.

Raghuvanshi made 41 runs off 41 deliveries, hitting four fours during his composed knock under pressure. Shreyas Iyer, who came in at number three, couldn’t contribute much and scored only 11 runs off 11 balls, which included a six.

Despite the minor setback, SoBo Mumbai Falcons chased the target comfortably with solid partnerships in the middle order. They reached the total in 18.4 overs and secured a convincing five-wicket win, maintaining their strong position in the tournament standings.
