Rahul Chahar grabbed a stunning catch at the boundary lines to dismiss Avishka Fernando as India managed to draw first blood in the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Meanwhile, batting first, the Men in Blue had posted 132 runs in their quota of 20 overs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar got off to a steady start removing in-form batsman Avishka Fernando in the 3rd over. Fernando flicked it high up in the air behind square and a long way up and Rahul Chahar had time to run around the boundary cushions, caught it but his right foot is close to touching the skirting, so throws it up back in, goes out, comes back in to catch and sports a big smile.
It was a well-judged catch at deep backward square leg. The TV umpire double-checked just to make sure and Rahul Chahar has done an excellent job.

Meanwhile, batting first, India posted 132 runs on a sluggish Colombo wicket. Sri Lanka will be very happy with their effort. Shikhar Dhawan tried to play the sheet-anchor role as he often does but fell to the guile of Akila Dananjaya. The other batters found it hard and India have ended up with a sub-par total. But this isn’t an easy pitch to chase and India have 3 regular spinners with a part-timer in Nitish Rana to chip in as well.
