Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans are facing each other at Brabourne stadium in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to field first.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma looked in midas touch while opening the innings. Rohit scored 43 runs in 28 balls against the fiery bowling attack of Gujarat. Rohit showed his class in all his shots. Rohit gave a quick start to Mumbai Indians in powerplay.

In the 3rd over of the game, Rohit Sharma hit a six on scoop shot against the bowling of Mohammed Shami. Ranveer Singh who was present in the stands went crazy after this scoop six of Rohit. He stood up and applauded this mastery from Rohit. He also punched in the air to show his happiness.

Hitman smashed 5 beautiful fours and 2 monstrous sixes in his innings. However, Rohit failed to score fifty once again and gave his wicket to Rashid Khan. He has been in poor form in IPL 2022. He has managed to score just 200 runs in 10 matches in IPL 2022 at a poor average of 20.

Tim David guides Mumbai Indians to 177 runs

Rohit Sharma was well supported by Ishan Kishan in this innings. Ishan Kishan played an impactful knock of 45 runs in 29 balls. He took on chances in the first over of Rashid Khan which put Gujarat on backfoot.

Like Rohit , Ishan too couldn’t convert this innings into a big one. Pollard once again failed to create an impact. He could manage to score only 4 runs in 14 balls. In the end, it required an amazing finish from Tim David to take Mumbai to a total of 177 runs. David played a fiery knock of 44 runs in 21 balls.
