Watch – Rashid Khan Picks An Excellent Running Catch To Get The Better of Shahbaz Ahmed

In the battle between two Shahbaz – Shahbaz Ahmed and Shahbaz Nadeem, the Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketer had the last laugh thanks to a brilliant running catch from Rashid Khan. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have got off to a blistering start adding 47 runs in the powerplay overs with skipper Virat Kohli leading the troops from the front.

Asked to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore didn’t get off to a brilliant start losing Devdutt Padikkal early on in the innings. The dashing left-handed opener, who was returning after missing the IPL 2021 opener, failed to continue his blistering form managing only 11 runs off 13 deliveries.

Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers adopted an innovative tactic in their IPL 2021 game against Sunrisers Hyderabad bringing in young all-rounder from Bengal Shahbaz Ahmed at No.3 after the departure of Devdutt Padikkal. However, the move didn’t do wonders for the side as the southpaw could only manage 14 runs from 10 deliveries including a six.

Rashid Khan grabs an excellent catch

Shahbaz Nadeem flighted the delivery inducing Shahbaz Ahmed to come down the track. The batsman got too close to the ball and didn’t get the needed elevation on the lofted on-drive and dragged it behind square on the on-side. It could have dropped down safely, if not for Rashid Khan. It was a superb running catch from Rashid – he ran across a long way to his right from deep backward square leg, slides, and pulled off a superb catch.

Since then, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell have belted the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers right, left, and center. David Warner & Co will be desperate to break this partnership because if they bat for another couple of overs, Royal Challengers Bangalore will post a mammoth total on the board with in-form AB de Villiers to follow next.
