India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has started training on his road to return at National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru on Wednesday, October 19. He has been struggling with injuries of late and missed lots of matches for Team India and the Chennai Super Kings.

Jadeja has been a key member of the Indian team for quite some time. He is a gun fielder and provides vital runs lower down the order. During the 2022 Asia Cup held in UAE, Jadeja played two league matches against Pakistan and Hong Kong.

He then injured himself while surfing and was ruled out of the remaining games of the continental tournament and also the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Ravindra Jadeja shared a small clip where he was seen doing light jogging after surgery and could walk without support. He would be hoping to come back into the national squad soon. The ace all-rounder captioned the video with a few running emojis.

India to begin their T20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan

Team India will start their tournament against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Stadium (MCG). The Men in Blue would be looking to shred away their disappointing performance during the 2021 T20 World Cup where they could not reach the semi-final stage after losing to Pakistan and New Zealand in the first two matches.

Despite winning against Afghanistan, Scotland, and Namibia by big margins, the Men in Blue bowed out as New Zealand and Pakistan qualified for the knockout stage.

Team India are placed with South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and two more qualifying teams. Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.
