[WATCH]- Rishabh Pant Shows Frustration Toward Teammate On Day 2 Of 2nd Test

India’s wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was caught on the stump mic showing his annoyance toward Kuldeep Yadav on Day 2 of the second Test against South Africa at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Acting as stand-in captain for Shubman Gill, Pant reminded Kuldeep to speed up his preparations before starting an over, as the spinner had already received two warnings.

Pant introduced spin for the first time on Day 2 by giving Kuldeep the ball for the 88th over. The on-field umpire had twice cautioned the left-arm wrist-spinner for taking too long, and a third warning would have cost India five penalty runs. As per the regulations, a new bowler must start the over within 60 seconds.

In a video aired on Star Sports, Rishabh Pant was heard saying on the stump mic:

“Yaar 30 second ka timer hai. Ghar pe khel rahe ho kya? Ek ball daal jaldi. Yaar Kuldeep, dono baar warning le li. Poora ek over thodi na chahiye. Mazak bana rakha hai Test cricket ko. Field mere ko karne de. Tu tappe se daalne ko dekh. Baaki ho jaayega kaam.”

India Go Wicketless Under Pant’s Leadership In Day 2 Morning Session

India remained without a wicket during the morning session of Day 2, as South Africa added 69 runs, with Senuran Muthusamy frustrating the bowlers through a composed half-century. In the 105th over, the on-field umpire initially declared Muthusamy out lbw on 48, but the decision was overturned upon review after replays showed a glove touch.

However, Ravindra Jadeja eventually broke the stubborn 88-run partnership by removing Kyle Verreynne for 45 in the post-tea session. At the time of writing, South Africa had moved past 350, having started the day at 247/6. Pant and his team must win this Test to square the series 1–1.
