[WATCH] Rishabh Pant Spotted Chatting with Sanjiv Goenka After The Defeat In IPL 2025

Rishabh Pant, captain of LSG (Lucknow Super Giants), was seen having a chat with Sanjiv Goenka after the fourth match of IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and LSG finished. For the unaware, Goenka’s reaction talking to KL Rahul, the former captain of LSG had went viral in IPL 2024. Goenka was visibly frustrated talking to Rahul after a loss. Pant was playing his first game as the captain of LSG on Monday night.

While LSG scored 209 in 20 overs, the team’s bowling unit couldn’t defend it against the batting line-up of DC. Goenka chatting with Pant after the match again brought up memories from the business tycoon’s chat with KL Rahul.

While the chat between Goenka and Pant feels amusing to the fans, it is very unlikely that Goenka was scolding Pant in the very first game. The fallout between Rahul and LSG was very much likely the Goenka spat publicly. Sanjiv is very involved in his franchise’s performance. He is there to watch every game and talks to the captain almost every time after the match.

Rishabh Pant was seen sitting with his old DC teammates Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav after the game and the chat with Goenka. Pant was with DC for a long time and was also the captain of the franchise. Thus, when the players met after the match, a lot of laughs were visibly shared.

DC got the start they wanted, LSG didn’t. While LSG had a good start and were looking like the ones to win the game, DC’s Ashutosh Sharma stole the show and scored quickly to get his team over the line. In the first four matches of IPL 2025, the standards have been set. No score is too big to chase. Every team will want to invest more and more in the bowling unit going forward as 200 seems like a standard score today!
