[WATCH]- Rishabh Pant’s Witty Remark While Smashing The Ball In LSG Nets Ahead Of IPL 2025

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant was recently spotted batting in the team’s open nets session as he prepared for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. During practice, the left-hander jokingly asked the bowlers to give him a moment to catch his breath.

Pant showcased some impressive strokes during the session, but it was his witty remarks that grabbed the attention of fans. The 27-year-old playfully urged the bowlers to give him a little more time to get ready before delivering their next ball. He was heard saying:

“Time like daalo, koi jaldi nahi hai. Time like daalo, bhai. Apne ko bhi saans chahiye thodi. [Take some time there is no hurry. Take some time, brother. I need to catch my breath.]”

Rishabh Pant left Delhi Capitals before the IPL 2025 auction and made history by becoming the league’s most expensive player. LSG bought him for ₹27 crore and appointed him captain. Lucknow will face Delhi in their season opener on March 24 in Visakhapatnam.

Rishabh Pant Urges LSG Seniors to Mentor Youngsters

Rishabh Pant aims to foster an open environment at LSG, encouraging players to express themselves freely. He stressed that both the support staff and teammates play a role in this. Pant also urged senior players like Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, and Aiden Markram to mentor the younger members.

“We want to create a place where people can come and express themselves. It is just a very simple idea. It is easier to say than to do it because it requires a lot of effort from each and every individual. It is not just the management, I think it is because of the players we can create that environment.”

“I feel there is a lot of experience in the group. I think management has a lot of experience. We have a lot of senior players, Nikky P is there, Makram is there, Miller is there. I think a lot more are there. Just keep sharing your experience with the younger guys and let that experience flow in this group.”
