Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag faced a lot of criticism from commentators and fans during the Lucknow Super Giants vs Rajasthan Royals match at the Brabourne Stadium on Sunday. Parag took a catch to dismiss Marcus Stoinis and sarcastically indicated that the ball hasn’t touched the ground.

The incident took place in the final over of the second innings. The Lucknow Super Giants needed 34 off the last over, with Marcus Stonis at the striker’s end. The all-rounder smashed a low full toss from Prasidh Krishna for a six to begin the over. However, Krishna had the last laugh, as Stoinis was dismissed on the next delivery.

Prasidh Krishna bowled a slower length delivery, which Stoinis tried to slog. However, he was caught by Riyan Parag at the Long-on. After completing the catch, the all-rounder took the ball close to the ground in a funny manner. He gestured that the ball has not touched the ground, probably mocking the third umpire.
