Defending champions Mumbai Indians have got the ball rolling in the UAE as they chase their fifth IPL trophy. The cricketers have looked in good touch in the little sneak peeks we have got of their practice sessions. Recently, in one of the videos, skipper Rohit Sharma can be seen hitting a humongous 95 metre six.
Meanwhile, Mumbai were among the first few teams to begin preparation for IPL 2020. They are leaving no stones unturned to replicate their last season’s performance. Rohit is also back in action after a long gap due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Rohit Sharma hits a 95 metre six
The swashbuckling batsman last turned up during the T20I series against New Zealand. He copped up a blow on his finger and since then has been out of action which extended due to COVID-19. However, Rohit Sharma has looked completely in place right from the start of the training first in Mumbai and then in the UAE.
Recently, the Mumbai skipper gave a glimpse of what can we expect in the upcoming season. In one of the videos posted by Mumbai Indians on Twitter, Rohit charged down the track to one of the bowlers and struck a massive six.
The shot straight down the ground went out of the stadium and landed on the rooftop of the moving bus. The six was 95-metre long and soon after it landed on the bus, the players were in splits while Rohit Sharma hilariously celebrated the moment by raising his hand.
