[WATCH] Rohit Sharma Meets Team India Players Ahead Of IND vs PAK Clash

Team India’s ODI opener Rohit Sharma was seen at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo before the big match against Pakistan on Sunday, February 15. In a video shared by Star Sports, the 38-year-old was spotted meeting and interacting with the Indian team ahead of the game.

Rohit has led India twice against Pakistan in the T20 World Cups, and India won both matches. The Nagpur-born cricketer retired from T20 internationals after the last World Cup. He was also present during India’s opening match of the tournament against the USA at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where he walked out with the trophy before the match began.

Suryakumar Yadav and the rest of the team have already won two matches in this tournament and will look to continue their good form with a win against Pakistan. Meanwhile, Pakistan have also won both of their matches so far.

Team India Lose Another Toss in the T20 World Cup 2026

Meanwhile, India lost the toss for the third match in a row in this tournament, after also losing it against the USA and Namibia. The defending champions made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav in place of Sanju Samson and Arshdeep Singh.

Pakistan, on the other hand, kept the same team. India started their campaign with a tense 29-run win over the USA and then looked much more confident in their next match against Namibia in Delhi. Pakistan had a close game against the Netherlands, winning by just two wickets while chasing 148.

They then beat the USA comfortably by 32 runs in their second match, putting themselves in a strong position to qualify for the Super Eights. At the time of writing, India had already lost Abhishek Sharma for zero, as he was dismissed by Salman Ali Agha.
