Shardul Thakur was part of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025, but the team traded him to Mumbai Indians for ₹2 crore in an all-cash deal. So far, he has played 105 matches in the IPL and taken 107 wickets, with an economy rate of 9.40. Mumbai Indians will begin their IPL 2026 campaign on March 29 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium.

Rohit Sharma begins IPL 2026 preparations after Maldives break

Rohit Sharma recently took a break and went on a vacation to the Maldives with his family after the T20 World Cup 2026. He was also the ICC brand ambassador for the tournament. After returning from the trip, the experienced player joined the Mumbai Indians camp. He started preparing for the season by practicing hard in the nets.

Rohit Sharma was the second-highest run-scorer for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. He scored 418 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 149.28, including four half-centuries. It was his best season since 2016.

The Mumbai team finished fourth after the league stage, winning eight out of 14 matches. They beat Gujarat Titans by 20 runs in the Eliminator but then lost to Punjab Kings by five wickets in Qualifier 2, who later finished as runners-up.
