Opportunities to watch Rohit Sharma in action are becoming increasingly limited as the former India captain now focuses primarily on the 50-over format. However, with India’s upcoming ODI series against South Africa approaching, Rohit made use of Mumbai’s home Ranji Trophy fixture to get some valuable practice with his state teammates.
The veteran batter was seen training at the MCA-BKC Ground in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex, where Mumbai were hosting Himachal Pradesh for their fourth-round Ranji match. He was joined by former teammate and current bowling coach Dhawal Kulkarni, who supervised the reserve bowlers during the session while the game continued nearby.
Rohit, dressed in light training gear and shorts, was seen interacting with a few young Mumbai players. Reports suggest he did not take part in a batting session but instead engaged in brief discussions and some sprinting exercises. You can watch the video here:

Rohit Sharma Focuses On Maintaining Form For Upcoming ODI Games
Rohit Sharma heads into the upcoming ODI series against South Africa on the back of an impressive performance in Australia, where he was named Player of the Series on his return to international cricket. The veteran opener scored 202 runs in three innings, including his 33rd ODI century in India’s lone win at the SCG alongside Virat Kohli.
Both Rohit and Kohli are set to begin preparations soon, with the three-match ODI series against South Africa scheduled to start on November 30 in Ranchi. Meanwhile, at the nearby BKC Ground, young batter Musheer Khan struck a brilliant century to help Mumbai recover after early setbacks against Himachal Pradesh.
Ayush Mhatre departed without scoring, while Ajinkya Rahane and Sarfaraz Khan continued to struggle for form. By tea on Day 1, Mumbai were 217/4, with Musheer anchoring the innings alongside Siddhesh Lad.
Interestingly, Rohit last represented Mumbai in domestic cricket at the same venue earlier this year in a Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir. However, his performance there was modest, and he later announced his retirement from red-ball cricket a few months afterward.
