[WATCH]- RR Star Stuns With Incredible One-Handed Catch To Dismiss George Munsey

Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Shimron Hetmyer pulled off a sensational catch to send George Munsey back during the 2026 T20 World Cup clash between the West Indies and Scotland at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Saturday, February 7. Munsey was dismissed for 19 runs off 15 balls.

The breakthrough came in the fifth over of Scotland’s chase when Shamar Joseph banged in a short ball. Munsey hit it towards deep backward square leg, where Hetmyer flew to his right and grabbed a brilliant one-handed catch.

Joseph sprinted across to celebrate with Hetmyer, sharing a hug as the rest of the players joined in. Posting the clip on X, Star Sports wrote:

“You CANNOT do that, Shimron Hetmyer!” A sensational moment in the field, and the West Indies’ celebration says it all.”

Hetmyer & Shepherd Lead West Indies To Comfortable Win Over Scotland

Shimron Hetmyer’s composed knock, followed by a dominant bowling spell from Romario Shepherd, guided West Indies to a 35-run victory over Scotland in their opening match of the 2026 T20 World Cup. After opting to bat first, the Windies put up a competitive 182/5 in 20 overs.

Brandon King anchored the innings with 35 off 30 balls, striking one six and four fours. Sherfane Rutherford provided quick runs with 26 off 13 deliveries, while Rovman Powell and captain Shai Hope added 24 (14) and 19 (22) respectively to boost the total.

For Scotland, Brad Currie was the standout bowler, picking up 2/23. Safyaan Sharif, Oliver Davidson, and Michael Leask chipped in with a wicket each. Chasing 183, Scotland were dismissed for 147 in 18.5 overs.

Skipper Richie Berrington led the fight with a brisk 42 off 24 balls, including two sixes and three fours, while Tom Bruce supported him with 35 from 28 deliveries. However, the rest of the batting line-up failed to make an impact.

Romario Shepherd starred with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul with figures of 5/20. Jason Holder also impressed, taking three wickets, while Shamar Joseph and Gudakesh Motie accounted for one dismissal each.
